The App Reviewer is one person with too many subscriptions and a habit of cancelling them. It started because I could not find a review that told me the two things I wanted to know about any app: what it actually charges, and whether the person writing still uses it.

I install one app at a time and use it as my only tool for that job for at least two weeks before writing anything. I pay retail for every subscription I review and I cancel most of them. No sponsorships, no affiliate links, no review copies.

I am not a journalist and this is not a publication. It is a desk with one reviewer, which is worth knowing when you weigh what you read here. Where a subject needs expertise I do not have — clinical, legal, financial — the review says so and points at someone who does.

What this is not

Not a deals site, not a coupon site, not a roundup mill. There is no "top 50 apps of 2026" here and there will not be, because I have not used fifty apps properly and neither has anyone who publishes that list.
